We want to see our students and families! So…on Friday, May 8th between 11:00 and 12:30 pm, the staff will be driving around the streets of Halfmoon Bay in the hopes of seeing as many of you as possible!
You may have heard of other schools around the world, the province, even in our own district doing this same thing. What we have heard is that the kids, families, community members and staff have loved it! It’s one way we get to see each other in person…physical distancing, of course!
We will be escorted by the HMB Fire Department and possibly the RCMP. Our parade will begin at the HMB Fire Hall #1 (North End of Redrooffs). Please see the map of our route that was emailed on May 4th.
If you live outside our catchment area or do not live on any of the streets that we are travelling on, please find a spot along the route where you could set up. We invite families to bring their lawn chairs, make signs for the staff telling them how much you miss and love them, dress up in fun colors or costumes…whatever makes it fun!
Invite your neighbours to come out to watch. Let’s bring some joy and happiness to our amazing community!
