Did you know?
We are proud to have our school on the traditional lands of the Shíshálh (Sechelt) Nation. Ever since 1915, Halfmoon Bay School has educated our children and been the center of our small community. We have grown in size, in experience and in meeting the challenges of an ever-changing world.
We have been in our present location on Northwood Road since 1989 when we moved from our small, one room school on Trout Lake Road.
Today, we have approximately 205 students from Kindergarten to Grade 7. Our amazing teaching and support staff are committed in creating a welcoming and inviting environment for all.
In addition to providing a solid foundation for learning, we focus on developing the Core Competencies–sets of intellectual, personal, and social and emotional proficiencies that all students need in order to engage in deep, lifelong learning. We strive to be a community that cares!
communicating with us
Open communication is key to having positive connections between the home and school. Throughout the year, you will need to connect with your child’s teacher at school. Please be sure to contact them at the school or through their email. It is important to share any questions, concerns or successes with your child’s teacher in a timely manner. We are always happy to help!!
